The promised land was not, however, paved with gold. So after a Night at the Opera, Luigi decided to spend a Day at the Races. This romantic facade, unfortunately, did not sit well with his wife Isabella, his son Roberto and his daughter Gina.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Written, produced and directed by Vincent Torrieri<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gina: Roberto, what are you doing home so soon?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto: What else am I suppose to do? (sarcastic)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gina: I&#8217;d thought you&#8217;d be working at least until six.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto: Not anymore.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gina: Why what happened?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our wonderful father. And he told me to throw away the power drill. He took the power drill out of \u00a0my hand and he said You don&#8217;t have to work no more. And the Boss sees this and he wants to know what&#8217;s going on? So you know what he said to him?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gina: \u00a0No what?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daddy told him he should worry more about his wife and not me because she&#8217;s been sleeping around with everybody in town. Ha, ha. It&#8217;s funny? You know that was the end of me. I was fired on the spot!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabella: Matto, matto. Noi siamo proprio finiti.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gina: Ma, what happened?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabella: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I went to the bank to pay the telephone bill. The Lady said the cheque is no good. I said but how&#8217;s that possible? She said there&#8217;s no money in the account. She said your father took out all the money. Fifteen Thousand Dollars! He took out all the money! Why? Why?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He&#8217;s having an affair. I know he&#8217;s having an affair. He left us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gina: \u00a0Oh, my God. First he gets Roberto fired and now this.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabella: Why did you get fired?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ma, it wasn&#8217;t my fault! It was Dad. He came to the shop. He told my Boss that his wife was sleeping with another man.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabella: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Well of course she&#8217;s sleeping with other men. She&#8217;s on television. What do you want?\u00a0<\/strong><strong>But why did he have to go and tell him?
