Chapter One. Mrs. French is married to the Fashion photographer, Mr. French. She suspects her husband is having a love affair with a Television Showgirl. Hours later, someone kills Mrs. French. Her husband is arrested for homicide. Is Mr. French responsible? If he is not the killer, who is?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Valley <\/strong>– My name is — “David Hunt.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a Private Investigator for the Fox Hunt Detective Agency. I am en route to a cocktail and coffee bar – The Vice Versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Morning Mr. Hunt,” says Mario. “Out of curiousity, who you and Linda Fox vote for?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mario is my friend. He is the owner <\/strong>of the caf\u00e8. He asks a lot of personal questions. I can tell you I like chewing gum but I do not like it on my shoes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ok. Ok. Sorry. Do you want a coffee?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yes, I do.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. October Wants David Hunt to Find the Real Killer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. October, with her high-heeled red shoes, walks into a smoky, dark-lit office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Welcome to the Fox Hunt Agency,” says David.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first time Ms. October goes to a private investigator. She does not know what to expect. Ms. October is beautiful, American and sexy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Have a seat,” he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Thank you,” she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Where is Linda Fox?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m afraid she is away on business., he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Are you a qualified private investigator?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yes, I am.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Do you read the newspapers?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yes, I do.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My brother, Mr. French is innocent. I want you to find the real killer.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. October has blonde hair, blue eyes and beautiful legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Can your Agency help me find the real killer?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“No, I cannot.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Why not?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Unfortunately, the police do not like our agency to investigate homicides.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. October takes a Virginia cigarette out of a black casing. She starts to smoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Sorry. But for the police, the case is closed,” he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Is Linda Fox in her office? I want to speak to her. she is the one who has the famous name.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David sits back in his chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“She is my business partner. We do everything together.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Really?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Almost everything.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Where is she now?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“She is on vacation in Bermuda.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Who with?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A ‘friend.'”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Are you sure you do almost everything together?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“No. But I know Linda does not like an investigation of this type.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Please. My brother is a good man. I insist that you find the real killer,” says Ms. October. “And I pay good money.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Really? How much?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Double the normal price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Does he take photos of wild animals?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In a way. He is a fashion photographer and it is pretty wild out there. And many people, actually a lot of people are jealous of his success.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“So your brother has a lot of enemies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Absolutely.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The newspapers says your brother and the Television Showgirl are lovers. Is that true?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yes, it is.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The tabloids also say the murder weapon is a knife and that your brother has his fingerprints all over it. And that his wife’s blood and DNA are on the knife.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yes. The police have a kitchen knife with my brother’s fingerprints, DNA and blood. Her blood.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
